Driving Urban Change | Best shopping centre finalists at MIPIM Awards 2022

The MIPIM Awards 2021 judges shortlisted 46 finalists representing the most outstanding projects of the real estate industry in the world, and celebrating ground-breaking innovation, architecture, environmental qualities, integration and impact on the community.

The winners will be announced at the MIPIM Awards Ceremony on Thursday 17 March, 2022. Grand Auditorium, Palais des Festival from 18.30 to 19.30.

BEST SHOPPING CENTRE

 

This category rewards the new shopping centre, retail park or factory outlet which succeeds in encouraging and retaining traffic, while offering a unique shopper experience through new technologies, services, customer loyalty programmes and architectural features that aim to increase footfall and customer satisfaction. Completed in 2020-2021.

It all began in 1969: opening of CAP3000, the no°1 shopping center in France. Inspired by American shopping centers of that time, CAP3000 presents a modern style, an innovative and unique identity. The last few years, CAP3000 has been extended and new innovative projects have been implemented. Today, it represents the not-to-be-missed shopping venue in the Côte d’Azur. It benefits from a unique seaside location, in a protected area of natural beauty called « Natura 2000 ».

Hongkong Land’s Yorkville – The Ring

The Ring is an innovative commercial complex interacting shopping, social, culture and entertainment. It offers an unprecedented combination of commercial functionality and nature in China. The development encompasses a GFA of 420,000 sq. m., of which 170,000 sq. m. is dedicated to the shopping mall and retail streets, 110,000 sq. m. to the Grade-A office buildings, and 70,000 sq. m. to the indoor-outdoor botanical garden. Bridging city life with magnificent nature, The Ring possesses the largest indoor botanical garden yet in Southwest China. It presents a notable “urban-nature community” by encouraging citizens to enjoy a new living with nature.

Vialia Vigo is an integrated project based on the concept of the 15min city, done under strict sustainability standards. Is located in the heart of Vigo and unifies in the same space the largest proposal for mobility, commerce and entertainment in the territory. We combined in the same building, public spaces for leisure and sports, bus station, high speed train station, spaces that merge innovation with local tradition and commercial mix adapted to local needs. It is a project co-created with the citizens of Vigo, meeting the great challenge of providing a space that meets all their needs and expectations.
