Colin Lovering joins Avison Young in Bucharest

Veteran business development specialist becomes Senior Vice-President of Enterprise Solutions and Advisory Services in Romania
David Canta, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the firm’s Bucharest office, announced today the strategic hiring of highly regarded business development specialist Colin Lovering.
Effective immediately, Lovering becomes Senior Vice-President of Enterprise Solutions and Advisory Services in Bucharest. In this newly created role, he will focus on expanding Avison Young’s profile and overall footprint in the rapidly developing Romanian market.

Lovering brings 30 years of business development, sales training and coaching experience in a cross-section of industries to Avison Young, most recently as a sales leader and performance coach with Corporate Office Solutions (COS).
During his career, Lovering has provided management, sales training and coaching services for local and multinational companies while developing businesses in Romania, the U.S., Canada, Europe, South Africa and China. While at COS, he played a key role in boosting the firm’s revenues to €30 million from €15 million over a 4-year period and consolidated the company’s position as Romania’s office design-build leader.
Canta adds: “Colin has been a resident and corporate leader in Romania for eight years and is well-integrated in the business community. His expertise also has been used effectively in helping office tenants understand what their office does as much as what their office is, and his consultancy experience and knowledge of workplace dynamics, productivity, employee well-being, collaboration and privacy needs will be an invaluable addition to Avison Young service offering going forward.”
Prior to joining COS, Lovering was the Business Development Director with human resources consulting firm Premier Global International in Bucharest, where he managed the firm’s award-winning European sales and management training platform. Before moving to Premier Global, he spent 18 years with Sealed Air Corporation, holding sales, management and director positions in the U.K., Ireland, the U.S. and France with responsibilities for local and global sales teams and leading teams that earned multiple awards for service excellence. Prior to joining Sealed Air, he was a sales executive for 8 years with Viking Packaging.
Lovering is Chairman of the British Romanian Chamber of Commerce, a senior tutor with the Institute of Sales Management, and an associate lecturer at the University of Bucharest. In the community, he actively supports several local charities and non-profit groups – including the Casa Ioana and Light into Europe, where he assists in fundraising endeavors. Lovering holds a degree from Hereford College of Art and Design in the U.K.
