Huf extends development center in Romania

Huf Group, the leading supplier of mechatronic locking, access and authorization systems for the global automotive industry, is extending its development center in Romania. Therefore, the company has decided to relocate its Romanian development team to the premises of “ISHO”, the new urban district close to the heart of Timisoara. After signing the leasing contract with the project developer Mulberry Development, the new office space covering 2000 square meters will be now fitted to the special needs of Huf Romania. The new offices will be ready by end of 2019.

“With its excellent talent base for software developers and engineers, Timisoara is offering ideal conditions to create a European development center for Huf. As we are focusing our product portfolio in the direction of mechatronics and electronics, where we are continuously growing, we need additional highly skilled personnel for our Romanian development team. This is why we have selected the office space in the “ISHO” area as it provides best conditions to create an inspiring working environment. Moreover, the premises allow further expansion,” Tom Graf, CEO of Huf Group said. “I am particularly happy that our highly motivated development team can quickly move into the new building. Currently, we mainly develop software for passive entry systems, sliding doors, capacitive sensors, kick sensors, gesture detection and innovative mobility solutions. Going forward we plan to extend the scope of our projects”, Bogdan Illiescu, head of the Huf Romania site in Timisoara, added.

“Apart from the comprehensive benefit packages, we are offering leading-edge projects to our team members. According to our experience, the chance to work with full responsibility on projects for customers like Audi, BMW, Ford, GM, PSA is a decisive argument for talented young development engineers to join us. Of course, the stylish, well-equipped office space at ISHO also counts”, Illiescu explains.

“We are very pleased to host Huf Romania on the ISHO campus, which offers the company’s employees an attractive work environment with excellent facilities and amenities,” said Ovidiu Șandor, developer of the ISHO project. “We are proud that Huf has chosen our campus to establish a leading edge development center that will support the company’s strategy to strengthen its already leading position as supplier for future-oriented vehicle access and authorization systems”. Huf Romania perfectly fits to Timisoara’s community of corporations, who contribute to our cities reputation as the European hot spot for automotive software and engineering development.

In 2021, when the three-phase development is scheduled to end, ISHO will become a new major hub in the city with highly desirable apartments, 50,000 square meters of new-generation offices, 2,000 parking places and a range of amenities including an international hotel, restaurants and cafes in the pedestrian area, shops, banks, a medical center and other social facilities.
