ATENOR announces the obtaining of the Building Permit for @EXPO project

ATENOR announces the obtaining of the Building Permit for @EXPO project, located in the north-west of Bucharest (Romania) that includes the development of approximately 49,000m² rentable space. The project comprises three buildings with high-performance architecture demonstrating once again the willingness of ATENOR to continue the development of innovative and large-scale real estate projects.

Thanks to its high-performance architecture and eco-design, the complex will meet the highest standards of sustainability for BREEAM “Excellent” certification. In particular, it will use innovative technologies to reduce operating costs and increase occupant comfort.

Confirming the interest of tenants for state of art projects, ATENOR announces that an agreement has been reached for the rental of 4,800 m² office space in the @EXPO project to Gameloft®, a video game development and publishing company, belonging to the Vivendi group. Gameloft® has established itself as one of the top innovators in its field since 2000. Gameloft® creates games for all digital platforms and with an audience of 173 million monthly users, Gameloft® offers a unique level of visibility and involvement to advertisers via Gameloft Advertising Solutions.

In agreement with the building time schedule, the construction is foreseen to start in January 2020,considering also the completion in the next weeks of the tender procedure for specialized contractors (special foundations) and General Contractor with all reputed local and international players present on the Romanian construction market.

The site enjoys easy accessibility, both via public transport and by road. The area is quickly and efficiently connected to the rest of the city by numerous tram and bus lines. The future metro line linking the main Bucharest station to Henri Coanda International Airport includes a stop just a stone’s throw from the site. This new line should be finalized in the near future. From @EXPO, the connection to the city centre or airport by car is less than 15 minutes.

That new location agreement with a remarkably significant recognized company confirms the interest in this major campus. This project is designed to meet the high rental demand, confirming the compatibility of the @EXPO project with the requirements of the Romanian market. Negotiations are underway for the signing of other lease agreements.
